Lux Reseach has just ranks the players in the lithium-ion battery markets on both sides of North Pacific. The strong winner is LG Chem Power, while Altair Nanotechnologies, International Battery, Valence, Ener1, and A123 are ranked as "Caution" and "Strong Caution." China is home to a number of top contenders. Although the list from Lux Research is not complete it shows strong competition on the market and suggest to make strong partnerships.
